Wattleseed and Choc Chip Cookies

Created by Carol-Lea / @morgs71

Inspired by the use of native Australian ingredients on this year's Masterchef, Carol-Lea created these very delicious choc chip and wattleseed cookies. “I love the flavour it added to the cookies, and I can't wait to try all kinds of things with them,” she said.

Ingredients

90g butter
1 tspn vanilla
1/3 cup castor sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup SR flour
3/4 cup plain flour
1 tsp wattleseed
3/4 cup choc chips or chopped chocolate
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 tspn milk

Method

Beat butter, vanilla and sugars in electric mixer until light and fluffy.

Beat in egg. Add in dry ingredients and lightly mix. Add enough milk to mix to bring the mixture together to form a soft dough.

Place tablespoons of mixture onto paper lined trays. Bake in 180 degree oven for 10-12 mins, depending on whether you want a soft or crispy cookie.

Makes 20-30 cookies.
